A 12-bore patent Hammer gun with 30" damascus barrels and 2 1/2" chambers about true cylinder borings. Rounded frame, non-rebounding back locks, hammers with linked pins and rotary underlever with fine border and scroll engraving, the maker's name signed within a scrolling banner, top strap numbered 1. 13 3/4" figured stock, 6lb. 12oz., black powder proof,  Alfred Lancaster was the son of Charles Lancaster and he set up his own busines as a gunmaker in 1859.
