A 12-bore top lever hammer gun with 30" damascus barrels and   2 1/2" chambers, about improved cylinder and 1/4 choke borings. Crossbolt extension, the rounded frame, rebounding bar locks, hammers and top lever with fine scroll engraving and retaining traces of original hardening colour, 14 3/4" figured stock with chequered butt plate, the gold escutcheon engraved 'J. CARTER WOOD, 15TH JAN 1896', beneath a tree motif, 6lbs 12oz, black powder re-proof.
