A 12-bore single-bite snap-action boxlock non-ejector, with two sets of barrels, original 30" black powder only damascus barrels, the rib engraved '170 NEW BOND ST. LONDON.'  2 1/2" chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and full choke.  The extra 30" black powder only barrels, the damascus rib engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 151. NEW BOND ST. LONDON. PATENT BREECH LOADER. BARRELS MADE OF SIR  JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL TUBES', 2 1/2in chambers, bored approx. true cylinder in both, Westley Richards patent toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail.  Fine border and acanthus scroll engraving surrounding a banner engraved with the makers name, the underside engraved en suite and with shell and floral motifs.     14 5/8" stock  with steel heel and toe plates.  In its Westley Richards oak-lined leather case with provision for both sets of barrels.
