A 12-bore toplever hammergun, 28" sleeved nitro steel to damascus barrels, the rib engraved 'HENRY CLARKE & SONS. MIDLAND GUN WORKS, LEICESTER,' and inscribed '2' at the breech end.  2 1/2" chambers, bored approximately 1/4 and 1/2 choke. Carved percussion fences, rebounding locks, fully engraved with fine scrollwork. 14 1/2" well-figured stock, escutcheon engraved with a griffin surmounted by a crown.  Steel heel and toe plates.
